The marriage is the lovely and joyful event for every family, which get together two persons. In every religion there are some customs and traditions for wedding. Like that in Islam there are also some customs and traditions, dowry is one among them which is commonly known as Jahaiz.

The real concept of dowry has been lost in dark and it becomes a source of earning. The dowry has become a big problem for the middle class families, because usually people ask for each and every thing in dowry from bride's parents. And for its minimum cost is about 5 to 6 million at least.

If the girl belongs to a middle class family and her parents are not able to provide dowry then the boy don’t do agree to marry her. In such type of case when the boy is an engineer or a doctor then the cost of boy’s demanded dowry commonly ranges from 20 to 30 million.  Thus, the dowry becomes a big difficulty for the poor and middle class girls and their families.

The marriage which was the sweet relation b/w two persons is become a business of two families. The boy’s parents are not feeling any guilty or hesitation to demand huge dowry even after knowing that the parents of the girl are not in the situation to fulfill their demand.

For this purpose mostly parents sent their daughters to another city’s university and college. Because well reputed universities are only in big cities like Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad etc etc. So it is the responsibility of girls that when they are leaving their home to go for studies then only do study and never take negative advantage of this freedom. Because today in Pakistan about 80% of girls are taking negative advantage of this freedom and doing friendship with boys and going outside for dates without permission and telling to their parents and attend so called fashion shows and dramatic societies and act in those shows wearing dresses which are not the part of our society or religion. It is a duty of the administrations of colleges or universities that they should take steps for these matters and never allows the girls to go outside the hostel for any kind of purpose. They should also don’t allow the girls to talk on phone at night, order them to leave their phones in the custody of hostel in-charge and give them their phones when any call comes from their home or from any family member. The girls must have to keep in mind that their responsibility is to do study to become able to play their role in the development of the country. And they can play a vital role in the prosperity and progress of Pakistan.

Islam allows girls to choose their partner to marry with, but in Pakistan mostly the marriages held on the force of family and the reason behind this is only money or property. The problems for women not finish after their marriage but the problems become double after marriage because their in law family members notice their every action.

In Pakistan girls faces a lot of difficulties in their life as compare to boys. Mostly they face the problems in their education. Here the girls cannot complete their education career because of the practice of early marriages which is a wide-crippling issue in Pakistan.
